OK, after my last post several people have taken me to task for suggesting that kinkfic is bad and wrong, or that people who enjoy reading or writing it are bad and wrong, or that kinkfic can’t be well-written, etc. In a nutshell:
1. No, I don’t think kinkfic is evil.
2. No, I don’t think […]

Blarg. Turned in a first draft of my sekrit project scene. It’s gunk that normally I wouldn’t even show my betas, but I was already past deadline. Maybe tomorrow I can take another whack at it. Obviously I didn’t get my last two Fanfic Appreciation Week posts done last night or […]

rahirah is emotionally distant.
I bet no one’s surprised that you never post your current mood. In fact, I bet most of your friends are so sick of you locking them out of your life that they hate you behind your back. Shame.

Dammit, how could I have left mpoetess’s “Chocolately Goodness?” off the WIP list? Yeah, it rambles. But it’s got some of the sharpest Spike and Xander dialogue ever, and besides, the SF convention chapters are worth the price of admission all by themselves.

missmurchison, who in addition to turning out little gems like “A Glorious Morning I Have Seen” (Spike/Joyce, and about darn time) is the author of the wonderful “Chiraroscuro.”
nandibble, whose […]

I missed yesterday, so double post today. Wednesday’s post was WIPs I love. Many of these have been abandoned, and yet all of them are good enough that they deserve attention
First of all, the oldies. Can’t not mention Lynn H’s “Chains” here. This is THE seminal B/S redemptionist novel, […]

OK, this time we’re honoring 1) the bizzare inventiveness of speakr2customrs (and I’m sure I’ve misspelled that somehow), who made us all mourn the passing of a walrus; the sheer funny of mrmonkeybottoms, whose “Spike Lips! Lips of Spike!” is an immortal classic; the champagne-dry wit of ljs, who writes the best Anya evah; […]

Stolen from kita0610. Hmm. Not many, really.
1. The obligatory Horrible Mary Sue story. Two of them, actually, one finished, one, thankfully, not. The finished one was the Shameless Andre Norton Ripoff, starring a human woman and a feline alien female with the Strongest Telepathic Bond Evah! And they had their […]
